Finally got it lifted!!!

After 10 + months owning my Jeep, I finally got it lifted.
Picked this up this week.

The obligatory "before" picture...

and after...

Now time for a couple sit and stare at it for a few hours.

Very Nice! I haven't lifted mine yet, but that looks aout like what I want to do. How big of a lift is that? Did you install it yourself?

It's the TeraFlex 2 1/2" coil lift. 3" in front, 2" in back.
Installed it myself, with some help from my 8 year old son
Only variation from the instructions I'd recommend, rent a strut coil spring compressor. Didn't need it for the back but I couldn't get the front axle low enough to slip them in. The compressor worked like a charm.

If you undo the sway bar links, and loosen the bolts to the control arms (make sure to loosen brake cable brackets and unbolt shocks too...and also the axle breather hose) the axle will drop far enough to hand load a spring that offers 5.5" of lift, so the shorter springs should be a snap.

Looks good! I had my 9 year old son help install my springs as well .. He was able to supply the extra 2mm worth of leverage to pop the coils in without compressing them!

LOL! I never noticed that. I'm 6'-5" so yah, the seat is back as far as it'll go. More legroom in this than the wife's Caravan!

Thanks for all the comments!
