In all my internet travels I've never seen this question posted

This ain't my first day on the intrawebz, but I have a question and no answer.

I need a new "rock sleeve" for my synthetic winch line. Part of my problem is I can't figure out howw to get my old frined Google to help.

synthetic
winch
sleeve
rock
protective
protector
rope
abrasion
guard
chafe

There doesn't seem to be a clear name for this product.

Can anyone recommend a replacement?

Stores that sell rock climbing gear have it, and cheap. Like $0.30 or $0.40 per yard.

I always go to erewhon around here - being that I live in the flat midwest and climbing suppliers are not abundant.

Rope guard will also yield lots of results. I went with the Viking one because it is reflective thus hard to lose.

I have jeeps. I do shit to them.

Get a carbon fiber one, it will save weight.

Depending on where you are located most good hydraulic hose supply houses will sell a product that is used to cover flex lines on tractors.
