Rear tow hook question

Will the factory rear tow hook in this picture (from a 2012 JK) bolt onto my 07 JK without modification?

I'm pretty sure the 07 was a center mount hook. They then went to the side mounted hook at some point.... Pretty sure a search could probably give you more infor or maybe someone else will chim in.

I think the mounting holes are still there though

Hope this was a little helpful

Yep the factory 07 one is center mount. Mine was removed by the PO to install a factory receiver hitch. A local seller has the newer one in the picture and if its a bolt on I was going to buy it. If its not I will just pick up a generic set to bolt to the frame.

You can get a receiver mounted d ring holder from any number of companies.

08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon: lift, wheels/tires, bumpers, skids, sliders, winch, lights, cb. All the normal stuff, plus some.......

I'm pretty sure it mounts in the existing bumper holes. I have one I'm planning to put on my 08 eventually. I'll let you know if I get it done before this question is answered.

My 07 X had zero tow hooks, front or rear when I bought it. I installed the driver side rear tow hook like the one pictured above. There were NO bolt holes in the frame for it. I had to drill them my self. It was not difficult, it's 3 holes.
