First oil change....

I took my JK in for it's first oil change yesterday.had the jeep for 6 months now,and only have 1200 miles on it,but it was time. Also had them fix the seatback on the passenger side, the back kept flipping forward, and had them check out my stereo. It never would play a cd.They couldn't fix it so they ordered me a new one.Hope it comes in soon. This fall I'm going to buy 5 of the new goodyear wrangler duratrac tires so soon I'll have decent shoes for doing some offroad stuff.

Somethin's happenin' here, what it is ain't exactly clear, there's a man with a gun over there,a tellin' me,I have to beware.....

What kind of off-roading are you planning to do with those tires?

My off roading is nothing compared to what you (most of you)do.Logging trails is about as weird as I'll get.I'm not going to put on any kind of lift because it's hard enough for me to get in now with 32's.Where I will go is rocky, small rocks that is,and rutted.I didn't have any problems with my last two Ford F150 FX4's,so my JK will do great.Just need a good traction tire that will be okay on the street, and especially in the winter. The Duratracs seem to fit the bill nicely.I was considering the Cooper STT's but the reviews I read were not all that great.Seems to be a balancing problem.

I ran a non OEM oil filter for one oil change. The engine knocked with every startup for a couple of seconds. Now I just run the factory filters.

Paved Roads - Another Fine Example of Unnecessary Government Waste!
Modes - 3.5" Lift - Steel Jeep Bumper with Winch. Body Armor 4x4 Rear Bumper and Rock Sliders. - Hard Top painted White to repel the HEAT! - Ham\CB Radio - A few dents and Scratches John Bull Mod to Front & Rear Diff Covers. Woods Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket. Off-road Front, Rear and Rock Lights, Rear CAM, On Board Air.
