We applied for it with our CJ but never followed up, we just aren't into mud. High tire speed + random objects under the surface = broken parts.

Honestly, what's the appeal of mud?

I believe you are thinking of a different event, put on by Four Wheeler magazine.
The U.A. is a completely different format.

Anyone interested in a JKO Adventure Race. Perhaps something slightly tamer. ie 35" tire minimum. Trails that everyone could enjoy, no extreme stuff. some peeps may not be able to afford 35's or radical lifts. JKO's from each state could put together some type of offroad guiding trip, say one or two days and then on to the next state. peeps have a choice to start from the begining, wherever that may be (Texas?) or join in when it comes to your state or state of choice. anywho, something to talk about.

They also put out a DVD of the entire adventure that should be out around November/December. I have the last two years.

UA started in Penn. and made it's way up through Michigan this year. I have a couple friends who were helping play guide at one of our local offroad parks.

They were at Rocks and Valleys the other day, then headed north. I know they crossed the bridge, so presumably Drummond Island to Turtle Ridge, but that's only speculation.

They are very secretive of where they are going next. Also, I don't know anybody that is with them now so I can't get any more info. lol. I knew some guys that were with them at R&V.
