place for east coast meet?

ok so the votes are in for the month of the run and august won, now that doesnt mean its set in stone but at least its a start, now we need a location. post up your recomadations for a place and then well start another poll. when you add your suggestion please copy and paste the list so we can keep track of the suggestions, keep in mind it must have camping, a good selection of trails (easy to extreme). and when you post put the state its in.
ill start with the 2 i know of

Rausch Creek Off road park, PA
Uwharrie nat park, NC

I'd be about 75% sure to be able to hit it at Rausch Creek, but I'd guess only about 25% sure to be able to hit it at NC. Don't plan it around that, but I'm just sayin'.

^ Same here- Rausch I know I can make, if the timing's right. NC is a stretch at best- Mark W.

both are about the same distance from me so I'd prefer NC as I have a buddy that lives near by that I can visit/stay with.

I can do Rausch, unfortunately NC is not currently an option (even though I'd really like to go some day )

Possibly two runs? One @ RC for the northeasters/mid-atlantics, one @ NC for the southerners/lower mid-atlantics? I fall into the same boat as a couple others, RC is almost a certainty, but anything further more than likely won't work out this year (not sure if I'll be back at work by then and justifying a trip down to Carolina to beat on the Jeep would be like telling the wife that we should be able to see other people ). Just throwing it out there as possible way to satisfy the most folks as possible.

Only problem is with 2 different runs... it is a HUGE task putting one on.

I agree, one run.

PA is a little far for the SouthEast guys. Carolina's are more central for everybody.

What's wrong with the way the forum is setup already? No offense, but I think it's setup this way 'cause it's obvious that it'd be hard to setup a meet for people in the opposite ends of each group.

USA - Northeast
CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT, WV

USA - Southeast
AL, GA, KY, MS, MS, NC, TN, VA

Nothing wrong w/ it...we're just trying to meet up w/ you northeast guys. We're willing to drive 600+ miles to do it!

Opposite ends meet in the middle. That way everybody drives about the same. And by the way, Why SC is not in any of the two groups?

Ditto, I'd like to meet up with the southern guys. It doesn't matter to me though... it's 400 miles to RC in PA & 450-500 miles to NC for us guys from ohio so to make it easier for the southern guys NC makes sense.

edit... also it'd be waaaay easier to talk the wives into going to NC... "We'll trail ride for a couple days & then go to the beach for the rest of the time honey!" LMAO PA is a little harder to do that!

That looks good too. But because they do 4 to 5 events a year it looks like its going to be really crowded and thats a PITA.
