Glad the kids are going too. I would hate for the next one to be named Padre.

Have fun....Be safe.

Yeah, he's running out of cool vehicle names, it would be a bummer to have to name one Pinto, or Gremlin, but Nova might be a cool name

Wish I could go, but saving money for my trip to Janell's graduation, plus I don't like sand in my crack.....

Go to the Malaquite beach and you can cruise down the 4 wheel drive area its 60 miles to the end so give yourself some time.

Yes and I have some more to add from our last outing. I'll add them right now, we got some from the end.

Can't wait to see them. So, in Corpus I take Park Road 22 to the end and then head south on the beach? Is that where you're talking about. I told the wife about it and she thinks it'd be cool.

Also, other than my Rubi rims and tires my X is stock. It should be OK, right?

I know, lots of questions from a rookie Jeeper.

You will be fine, take a shovel and a tow strap just in case. Most of the people out there will help. You are correct just follow 22 until you get to the entrance, it will cost 10 bucks for 7 days or a year pass is 20. If your wife likes shells take some buckets with you at about 40 miles or so down you will have a hard time choosing the ones you want. Have fun, now you got me wanting to go again.

Thanks for all the info, and that's a great group you get to hang with. The looks on their faces tell it all. Not sure we'll have enough time for Corpos this trip, but once I show the wife and kids the pics I think I'll have an easy time arranging a second trip to the area. I'm not crazy about the beach but they are so I take them whenever they want. Luckily my wife and I are educators so we are off all summer. Woop!

Gonna start planning and picking up needed materials like tow straps and such pretty quick. It's going to be a great summer. Thanks again for all your help and info.

Hey Bodyguy, Nice pix of the Sea Shore! I have lived right here by Corpus forever and I never have taken the time to go down there. Your pix have inspired me. I might suprise the wife and kids with a trip down there next weekend! They love the beach, as a matter of fact, we are going to the beach in Port Aransas as as soon as I get off work this afternoon at 2:30!!
