Big Bear Forest Fest

Inland Empire 4 Wheelers Annual Big Bear Forest Fest
June 19th - 21th 2009

Come enjoy the cool air and great trails with fellow four wheelers in Southern California's mountain playground, the San Bernardino National Forest. For the past 11 years the Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs have hosted the Big Bear Forest Fest. One of the largest and longest running 4 wheel drive events in the Big Bear area.

The club leads several runs through out the San Bernardino Mountains. Runs are open to all makes and models of 4x4's with trails ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging. In past years the club has served over 600 tasty homemade BBQ dinners with dessert and hosted a raffle with over $25,000 in prizes. This year promises to be even better. The kids are also treated to their own games and give-aways.

The proceeds from the event are donated to various charities throughout the year, with a majority of the proceeds donated to organizations dedicated to keeping our trails OPEN. Free dry camping in the Snow Valley Parking area is included with admission.

Check out our web site for directions and more information. www.ie4w.com or contact our Big Bear Forest Fest Chairperson by email at [email protected].

This is a great event for a great cause. Keeping trails open! I've been on the committee since the beginning and have watched this event grow from about 30 rigs to our max capacity of about 300 rigs and 700+ people. I'd love to see some of my new JK buds sign up before we sell out.

If you haven’t already done so be sure and register. It usually sells out about mid May. The last couple of years I’ve led a small, but very fun, group that call themselves the Tri County Social Club. We usually leave early and are back to camp by early afternoon so I can cook the 600lbs of tri-tip and 200lbs of chicken. I’d love to have a few JK’s on this run but, it isn’t on the sign up page, so be sure and ask for the Tri County run.

Greg,
It was great to officially meet you yesterday. I know you’ll be busy getting ready for the Summer Fest, but I hope you can make it out to the Forest Fest. If you’d like to make a donation to the event, Rick Clay from 4-West if the contact. I know you have his info since he’ll also be a Summer Fest vendor, but for others who’d like to donate to a great cause or who would like to set up a vendor booth, contact Rick at 909 824 0024
Thanks,
Larry

The club has been working very hard on the trails but I think Holcomb a no-go this year.

I know that the rock garden is closed due to fire and water damage. I live in Lake Arrowhead. I will be coming to the event. Is camp at the Snow Valley parking lot ? I will go down to the ranger station and talk to them about 3N93 ( rock garden ) and post up what they said about it getting open.

Mountain Man,
Glad you’re coming. Yes, camp is in the Snow Valley parking lot. By Friday night it looks like a little city. Several hundred motor homes, tents and campers. I think the camping is as much fun as the Jeeping. There’s lots to do for kids and adults. I’d love to see a great JK showing.
