Convoy to Moab - September 5th-19th

A group of us from Ohio are going out to Moab for about 2 weeks in September! We'll wheel for most of the time but need to take a couple days and be tourists to please our wives/girlfriends! I'd like to invite whomever else wants to meet us out there or convoy out there with us. Some are driving their Jeep, some trailering... I'm working on getting a toy hauler/motorhome to head out with but if that falls through, me and a buddy will probably fly our wives & daughters to Denver & drive out.

I've never been out, but according to guys that have been out there before, here is the list that we are going to run...

Golden Spike
Pioson Spider
GoldBar Rim
Kane Creek
Hells Revenge
Kane Creek
Metal Masher
and Pritchett Canyon if everyone is feeling up to it.

More details to follow! Hope some of you can join us!

The first three are awsome. If you run them all together backwards it will take all day but it's worth it. Start when the sun come up and you may still have light when your decending poison spider. (All day does include time for lunch and pics)

Anyone have any hints of somewhere decent to stay... preferably a cabin or condo? I've looked at a couple campgrounds websites, but it's hard to tell from their pictures. Any first hand info would be greatly appreciated!

Kane creek twice? Steal Bender is fun too. When I was there we stayed in a duplex, it was nice.

I've rented Condos from these gals twice with good results http://www.moabutahlodging.com/

I've stayed at the Gonzo hotel about 70+ days over the years (literally) and it's very nice http://www.gonzoinn.com/

I may be up for September, it depends on how much vacation time I have left. Maybe a long weekend.

Send a message via Yahoo to WTF_LOL

I am tempted to just come out for the Pritchett Canyon day.

I certainly will not be able to come out for the whole week to run all those trails but I will keep an eye on this thread and I amy be ableto come out for at least one or two days.
