What event for me ..........??

I have not been to a jeep event, let alone a JK event ever ...... I'm in illinois, any suggestions as to what would be a good event to hit.... without a cross country trek that is ... my work schedule wont allow more than a week off ....

There is no such thing as "one too many" ... and there is no such thing as a "finished jeep" project

Jeep Beach... It is a 2 day drive here, and a 2 day drive back, for those that like to stop and sleep...

I normally go straight through to N. VA in 16 hrs.

4x4 Safari put on by Two Rivers Jeep Club based in Pittsfield, Illinois. May12-14 over the hills and through the creeks of western Illinois. Go to www.trjc.com for information. Sign up quick. Participation is limited. Two days of guided trails, fun, probably mud, and a good intro to Midwest Wheelin'. Bring your Winch Wench.

There are three great events in the Black Hills of South Dakota. That isn't too far. Check out Black Hills Four Wheelers for the Dakota Challenge and Camp Jeep.

Depending on where you are in Illinois... Harlan, KY wouldn't be a huge trip for you. Seems like I can make it to Chicago from Lexington in around six hours. Harlan is another three hours. They have the Southern Shine coming up Memorial Day weekend so you're already getting a holiday and it's a huge event and the wheeling there can't be beat.
