For those who have not made this event in the past - it kicks ass! There are so many ways to contribute, no matter what you drive or what you do. I was not able to run the trails last year and spent my time shuttling riders back and fourth to the trail. This year someone else can handle that!

The event is simple - to spend a day taking wounded vets and/or their families out wheeling. From mild to wild - whatever THEY want.

Many of these folks have had their lives change forever in the blink of an eye - spend a day making them smile! There is no better feeling!

The event continues to grow - there were about twice as many wounded warriors last year with hopes that it will continue to grow. The majority of the wounded vets come from Brooks Army Medical Center (BAMC / SAMMC)

huh..... lol.

I worked as a runner last year - it was the first time we had runners and it worked out very well. Allowed for more time running trails and less time going back and fourth. We would pick up the Wounded Warriors and take them to jump off points where trail rigs would circle in and pick them up and hit the trail. Much more efficient than 09' and should be even better this year.

The will need all the help that they can get - there is a lot to be done, from set-up, tear down..... food serving etc....

It is worth every minute.

On the page that he is referring to there are three choices.

Military - Driver - Volunteer (you may choose more than one)

Selecting "Volunteer" on that page is what makes the drop down box on the next page available - that way they have more info about where you want to volunteer.

This is agreat event. If you have never been it really does change your outlook on what we do as hobby. I have done alot of wheeling and have been forunate and have been able to do more than most. I have never had this much fun wheeling. The camaraderie found at this event is amazing. This year will be better than ever. Come out and enjoy the day, thank a soldier, and his family for the sacrifice they have made for this great country. It is one amazing time.

Last year, late, when it was time to clean up. a Soldier who had his family there, got up and spoke from the heart, thanking everyone for the day. That right there, made my trip. To know that he had a memory with his family that would last forever and for him to know that we do appreciate his hard work, meant everything to me. It really is an awesome time.

We still have plenty of volunteer sections open, even if you can not bring a 4x4 come out for the day and offer your help. My whole family does this, and most them are not 4x4 enthusiasts. Get a group together and carpool.

Oh yeah, one more thing. How about that price? 3 days of wheeling. Two nights of camping and 3 first class meals served to you on Friday. You can't beat that only $75!!!

This is a really cool event. I won't be able to go this year but next year for sure. If you are able to make it you won't regret it.

What an awesome event. Lots of folks, lots of fun. Unwinding a bit after a damn good day of wheeling. Lots of breaks today... a guy in front and one behind me... fortunately the JK held up nicely. Going to run out and try to break it one more time in the morning.

It was very cool to see a bunch of smiles today. I had one family tell me that they had not done anything as a family - except for travel back and fourth to rehab - for the last two years. They said that they had a blast. Very, very cool!!

I rode the Vice President of the Spirit of Liberty Foundation around on Saturday and the GSM for Northwest Dodge. It was Awsome. Monya with Spirit of Liberty Foundation Drove most of the day and was not afriad to open up 450 HP of Hemi in my Jeep. the only carnage was a torn 42" Pitbull.
