Cool Reno/Northern NV Meet and Greet

Continuation of Brigitta's original post: https://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6664

Here we go:

Date: Saturday July 11th.
Where: Lithia Jeep of Reno
http://tinyurl.com/n8knaq
3223 Mill St
Reno, NV 89502-2219

Time: TBD, the event starts at 10AM and goes to 4PM. Given that the NorCal guys were thinking of rolling over, I want to take that into consideration to meet up.

Trail: Wouldn't mind hitting a trail after the event for those who are interested, could do something totally easy like Peavine of the likes there of.

Post up if you can make it and if you have a time that works better for you. Also state if you're interested in a trail run.

Thanks LoPo for getting a time and date for this.

I think we're available, just got an email to attend a grad trip to Six Flags that day but I think there is too much on our calendar already for a trip down to six flags.

We should be able to attend.

Great meet & greet. Thanks LoPo for suggestioning the Jeep event for the meet up, I got to catch up with some friends I haven't seen in years.

Great meeting you Papatrucker, thanks for mentioning that oil leak. My husband powerwashed everything and it looks like the front diff was just overfilled and coming out the vent like you said.

We'll have to do this again!!

I to enjoyed meeting Brigitta and LOPO both had very nice JK's. I am glad that you leak was not serious. I do look forward to going on a run with you guys someday soon. I also hope that one of you will be able to take TRENT on there offer to let them build a set of fenders. I wish I could afford it I would jump on it, some day I will pursue that option. I have always liked flat fenders. Well again great meeting the both of you.

I did mention the offer to my husband when I got home and he too likes the look of the flat fender.

I've been meaning to get a quote for a custom rack from TRENT so I might talk to them a little further.

Other than the $$, I'd hate to have my JK just sitting in their shop while they work on the design. I've been through the "custom" build procedure on our last TJ.

This is our first test run on the Sledge Hammer before the they began designing the body panels and armor.

It takes a long time to get the design just right and quite frankly, you're not always their first priority even if you're paying cash up front.

TRENT Fab does excellent work and I'm sure they work in a more timely manner than the shop we worked with. However, if you're going to work with a shop that has a competitive rock crawling team, they take time off to race and rebuild their own stuff so be prepared for that.

I know there was another shop that was having a shop here in Reno make their tube fenders for them. So I'm sure someone up here has a design already and could make them up without having your JK. I'm sure a little asking around could find out who that was.
