Western Virginia Campout

Kinda new to the forum here and learned alot from all you guys over the last few months. I should be getting my Jeep done just in time for a trip to the George Washington National forest. I have been there a few times years ago and can't wait to get out there and enjoy my new toy. Anyway, just wanted to know if any one else was free the weekend of the 17th 18th and 19th of July. It would be nice to meet some of the folks who helped me out with my questions. We usually go to the Montebello/ crabtree falls area. They have fishing, camping, wheeling. If anyone is interested post a reply and get this thing started.

well, posted a reply and as usual, it went nowhere. I am all for some camping, wheelin, and fishin in western Va. or western NC, or Central NC, or eastern TN. It seems to be damn tough getting anything going on the east coast. Hey California dudes! Make room, I am coming out there.

Where is CrabTree Falls? I haven't been camping in a few years but this might be a great opportunity to try it again.

I still have an apartment in Centreville, VA but leaving for Tennessee at the end of September. Finally retiring so I can enjoy life more.

Crabtree Falls

If you google either Montebello or Crabtree falls you should get a pretty good idea of where the area is. I have not been up there in years let alone camping but now that my son is a good age to go we are all excited.

So..........how did the trip go? My son and I went up to the Shoe Creek Trail last Saturday and had a ball. Was working this weekend, but wouldn't mind getting a run in up there again sometime soon!

If you're gonna be fucking weird, own it.
