Complete noob question here

I'm completely new to Jeep. Not new to the auto scene and I'm quite capable. My question is, where can I find oem replacement parts for a decent price? i.e. I'm looking for the oem dash, new prefereably.

Thanks in advance.

This is for a 2000 Wrangler, 5 speed.

This is the stock JK board. You are asking questions about a TJ.

Try a TJ board.

It's not about the "Jeep community", it's about the "Internet community".

There are basic rules to follow when behind your keyboard, just like when you drive your Jeep...
Like introducing yourself as a noob and asking a question about a foreign vehicle.
People dont go on Mazda RX8 forums to ask questions about a Mazda3...

This is a dedicated forum to JK Wrangler...

We do have a TJ section, and HIT already moved your post to the proper section.
Here you may get more positive and to the point answers...

You should also try on jeepforum.com, etc...

Enjoy your Jeep and dont forget, web wheelers are everywhere!

OK. Well now that we are in the right TJ board. Like I mentioned I'm new to jeeps. I've ripped Chevy S10s apart and body dropped them. Now, instead of slammed I'm looking for having my head a bit higher in the clouds now.

So, where are places where I can find detailed info about the TJ jeep? For instance, specs on things such as specs on the 2.5 and 4.0 motors, what axles (I've read Dana 30s for the front and some other for the rear).

Basically, help set me on the straight path for knowing this TJ inside and out.

Thanks

Did you register to jeepforum.com?
They are a large community not specialised in any model so you have a LOT of people with TJ's...
You can also look into "wrangler" forums...
Good luck!

As has been said: www.jeepforum.com is great for us TJers. For technical write-ups I use www.stu-offroad.com and www.4x4xplor.com

As far as parts sites, jeepsareus.com might have that kind of stuff, but when you want new parts they're not going to be cheap. Other parts sites: quadratec, 4wd, ebay, etc.

I also think the TJ section on wranglerforum.com is pretty active.

Here's some VERY LIGHT reading for the TJ as well...

Ignore the CJ in the link - it's for the TJ...

http://www.allpar.com/model/cj/index.html

Good luck and welcome to the higher side of life.

I too used to do body drops on S10's and a few C-Notched & bagged 1500's. I think you'll find the offroad world simliar yet WAAAAAYYY Different...
