Something new...

Couple of things...

1st - you now are required to have either a passport OR both a driver's license and birth certificate to get back into the US. Yes, you might get lucky if you forget your birth certificate but don't count on not having a delay and getting a bit of hassle. We've been using our passports and this past weekend was the fastest we've ever had to cross. From the time of hitting traffic just on the Sonoyta side to the point of clearing the stop sign on the US side - took us 11 minutes at noon. We were in such shock we were still talking about it last night! Our longest has been 4 hours and prior to last weekend, the shortest was at 6:30 am and even that took 20 minutes!

2nd - there are new signs about a "Hassle Free Vehicle Zone" - not to be confused with speed all you want but this has something to do with not requiring a permit in certain areas if you want to get off the highway. Suggest you look up the stuff in quotes to get the details...

Keep in mind - June gets pretty warm and make sure you grab the tide charts if you're heading out in Cholla Bay. Take lots of water and tow straps / ropes and anything else for emergency operations. June will be pretty quiet and you may well be in areas that won't see much if any traffic. Oh yeah, and air down in the sand (12 psi works great).

Have fun and we may see you there...
