My Son's First Handgun

Gen 4 G19 that he picked up yesterday. His first gun purchase. He's gearing up for the "refugees".

Very nice for up close and personal. I prefer to keep them at 1000 yards.

He has a rifle that I bought him for his 21st birthday to reach out and touch someone.

Good choice.
I am not a big fan of Glocks myself but they usually go bang everytime.
I'm more of a condition 1 guy.
I don't have any kids of my own to shoot with but I have a nephew who's a good kid and an avid hunter so he gets some range time with uncle Frank when I can.

My son's girlfriend is looking for her first pistol too. They both plan to get their licenses to carry soon.

Sweet!

Nice gun! I'm a Beretta guy myself and sort of struggle with Glock grips, but that's a very durable, functional pistol.

Tell them to go to a range that they can try different guns out and find out what comfortable to them? Buy off looks doesn't work very often

I love Glocks. I can feed any crap ammo through either of mine and they handle it with ease.

I've had a few Glocks and can shoot them well, but a friend of mine just didn't like the grip angle. Definitely if you try different guns its the best way to go. Glocks tend to be a little cheaper in price than some other guns. I was an armorer on Glocks for awhile and never really had any issues or malfunctions with them, just replace the recoil springs every now and then.
