I am not a big fan of Glocks myself but they usually go bang everytime.
I'm more of a condition 1 guy.
I don't have any kids of my own to shoot with but I have a nephew who's a good kid and an avid hunter so he gets some range time with uncle Frank when I can.
I've had a few Glocks and can shoot them well, but a friend of mine just didn't like the grip angle. Definitely if you try different guns its the best way to go. Glocks tend to be a little cheaper in price than some other guns. I was an armorer on Glocks for awhile and never really had any issues or malfunctions with them, just replace the recoil springs every now and then.
