Ammo

Just wondering who has the best deals on ammo? Ammofast and gunbot are two that I use as a guide. I generally use a local gun shop. Gives me somewhere to bullshit a little and helps a local guy out.

Ammoman .com
or Sportsman's guide usually has decent prices.

rcbs is the way to go. They have great customer service. Every time i called about a part that broke or something they just sent a new one. No questions asked.

Thanks for the info, I have all my guns in a certain cartridge so I can stream line this process.

I only reload 30 caliber 308 30-06. Before you go out and buy a press and what not find brass powder and primers. If you find them you will be set. I will never shoot a factory center fire round again. You can really tune in the load for your specific gun. Youtube has lots of info. I got lucky and had a buddy on a forum that hooked me up with some brass cheap. I use military casings. Its not hard at all to remove the crimp.

I second the Reloading. It's not just about being inexpensive either. You can tune Your ammo to Your gun. Plus, I find it very relaxing. I would also recommend a chronograph if your Reloading. If your not testing your loads, your just guessing. Guessing is bad.

A little late in replying, I know, but with this site you put what you are looking for and it will find all the different sellers on the internet and their prices on the particular rounds that you're looking for.

I gotta be me cause everyone else was already taken.

All the places that I used to buy ammo from have been listed above.

But I'll add another vote to start reloading. Powder has been kind of spotty to find, at least for Varget and TiteGroup. I just buy it when I see it.

As far as a reloader brand. Dillon. Period.

i use ammoseek.com to find the best deals.

depending on caliber, some stores have better pricing than others. freedom is usually pretty good for common handgun calibers. sgammo is good for a lot of rifle calibers.

I use Gunbot most of the time but I found this a couple of weeks ago.
https://www.wikiarms.com/guns

And bought 500 rounds of Remington .44 Mag. HTP 240 gr for $279.00 from US Armorment in Pennsylvania a month or so ago.
I too am considering reloading.

Hornady is doing another lock and load this year. You buy their stuff and you get free bullets. Since I was just starting out, I needed a press and dies and stuff. I like their bushings, much easier IMO to change between dies. Anywho. I got 900 free 308 bullets from them with their promotion.

Anyone ever use the steel cased ammo. I know you can't reload it but it's 214 for 1000 rounds of .223. That's crazy cheap.

What are you going to be firing it through? I've not used any (unfortunately, I don't shoot enough to have bought any bulk, steel cased ammo), but I know some guns won't cycle it as reliably as brass cased ammo.
