New Gun in Collection

H&R Handi-rifle in .243 Winchester.

It came with a hard case. Not the best case but better than nothing.

It has youth and adult sized stocks. This is the adult stock installed.

I could use the wood stock and forend from my NEF Pardner shotgun.

Paired with the shotgun.

I've added a scope base and have optics on order.

In Mississippi the Handi-rifle is considered a primitive weapon and can be used during that season. My buddy has a .444 and has killed quite a few deer. They have either dropped where shot or run not more that 40 yards.

I finally got my new H&R Handi-rifle in .243 Win. to the range Sunday. Indoor range so I couldn't shoot at any real distance. I took a few shots using the irons then put the scope on. Shooting in a standing position I was hitting the bull's eye and all around it. From a bench I am sure I could have made one ragged hole. I forgot to retrieve my target. This gun is a pleasure to shoot. Not too heavy, accurate and very manageable recoil. I added the Picatinny scope base and hammer spur extension and moved a 4X scope from one of my other rifles to this one. I can't wait to try it from a bench.
