Finished my 3rd Ghillie

I finished my 3rd Ghillie... The other two have been scrapped, but I think I am going to keep this one.

The first 50 seconds I am hiding for demo purposes. After that I just babble for 8 minutes... but hey, if you're bored.

Should have piled some leaves at the bottom of the tree next to you to make another little bump on the ground. Other wise pretty good. I know that they are lots of work to make.

You spent to much money and too much time on that. Go buy a ten by ten foot piece of your choice camo. lay it out flat and lay down on in arms straight out and legs spread apart. get someone to cut around your body within about 4"-6". Do that again. Place these two pieces together and tie them together with small tie raps. Make the cut around your head large enough to make a head cover. BUT, take it from an old ass grunt, you can't beat tiger stripe in either basic green or brown. Lose the Ghille Suit, it's overkill. More important make sure you use sports wash to kill odors and UV wash to kill the blueish look of your material which deer and most game animals can see. Good luck.

Had you positioned in that vid within seconds...because of the shape, and I knew there was a person in that scene.....the cam was coloured nicely, though.
You have to pay attention to the shape your body makes, even if you've got cam on.

Why are you wanting to sell the SASS?

The gun is actually awesome. I spent more than a year finding one that was purpose built. Something I did not take into consideration was the weight.

I don't buy weapons to use as range queens (no offense to anyone... just not my thing). I am purchasing for hunting and self defense. Well, the rifle weighs 16.5 lbs completely tacted out. With me being disabled, its just too much for me to hump through the woods with.

I was going to keep it and just do 1,000 yard target shooting, but I just ordered an AAC 9" 300 Blackout for myself and an M4A3 for my son for his 16th birthday on the 6th. Now I am out of room in my safe and I can really use the extra cash to offset the two new buys.

I understand. I've gotten one and am now trying to decide on the scope. I only want to spend the money once. But it's a hard buy for a night force when I have no personal experience with them. Even thought about sightron, but haven't made up my mind. Glws

Thanks man... For what its worth, I am having excellent luck with the Nikon Tactical scopes. The P223 for the M4 and the M308 for the SASS and DMR. If I was going to do anything else, it would be a Mark IV. Just can't see spending $1,800 for a scope right now when the $450 scope works great.

The m308 does well at 800 to 1000?

Oh yea. You only need about 9x or 10x to be affective at 1,000 yards. Our military snipers have fixed 10x on their 7.62 rifles.
