Smith & Wesson 15-22 Get one now

Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 is quite simply one of the best guns I have ever owned. Why?

Cheap to shoot (if you can find ammo) see note below
Reliable
Copies my AR platform for practice
AR platform allows crazy modifications
Threaded barrel allows for suppressor
Lightweight for any and all new to the sport (trainer)
No recoil (again great for training)
Low rapport (fairly quiet) new shooters or those sensitive
Adjustable stock (again for younger or smaller shooters)
25 round magazines
$368 for the basic model. with free shipping
http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsupersto...2.cfm/ID/84585

Note: You can get 300 rds of free ammo if your state allows
promo from S & W until April 30 with purchase

Read the reviews everywhere and just get one. If you can't stop smiling after one day at the range you are normal.

Ammo sensitive?
I jammed one "emptying the mag" but I don't know whose ammo was in it.
Then again, maybe it was the M&P.

Either way, these style .22s are a drain on the ammo supply for those of us that use .22 for marksmanship. If you want to plink for fun, get a .50bmg.

Scoped it just for fun with my 308 big boy. Just cause I had it already.
Wife shot well! Even with the Mosin Nagant cannon rocking us.

Just FUN and More Fun!

I live in the People's Republic of New Yorkistan.

That's an "Assault Weapon" and hence can no longer be legally purchased here.

And it should be legal for you to purchase since it is simply a semi automatic 22lr. Nothing scary unless you're a tin can or a squirrel. Of course it is a rifle that is capable of going off if "someone" takes the safety off and pulls the trigger.

McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010), is a landmark[1] decision of the Supreme Court of the United States that determined whether the Second Amendment applies to the individual states. The Court held that the right of an individual to "keep and bear arms" protected by the Second Amendment is incorporated by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and applies to the states.

Wink Hmm

Does the SW 15-22 have a real barrel ? Or is it like all the other 22 clones that have a pencil barrel inside a fake outside barrel ?

I went through a LOT of research before I decided that the Sig 522 IS superior over ALL Semi .22LR's for several reasons. The 522 is not with out it's own faults though but reliability/runability/taketownability & cleanability are not one of them. 522's have a slop problem between the upper and lower that is easily resolved with a trip to home depot and $3.00, and the loose 'classic' hand guard can be made rock solid with a easy cheap fix too. These faults in no way effect the running of the rifle I just see them as a reason why so many people over look the 522 and go with something else.

what have I done, what have I done....Let the begin

The S&W 15-22 barrel is a real barrel. It takes down just like my AR and has proven reliable. I have always like Sig's handguns. No storm here.

I love the 15-22, have the 15 to go with it as well. A lot of fun to shoot.

And hey fella up there barking about .22 plinking, get over it. There's normally shit tons of .22LR around, just so happens right now they aren't making it in quantities they used to. It'll come back around. Highly doubt "plinkers" are draining your marksman ammo supply. I can still get match grade .22LR like usual, which is what you should be using and not American Eagle for "marksmanship." Buy a .17HMR.

Here's mine: I have 2-35 rd mags plus 2-25 rd mags that come standard. Cheap scope, MagPul folding BUIS sights, forehand rest, and painted.

AWESOME rifle for sure. Easy to clean and breakdown and stupid accurate. The target above is with the iron sights at 20 yds at standing position.
