My Candid Response.

I reposted an article from GRAA over on FB regarding a leaked Starbucks memo stating that they would be changing their firearm policy to disallow open and concealed carry. Mandy is a childhood friend, and you can see that media conditioning and indoctrination has worked like a charm in her case. I figure you guys would like my response to her and really get a sense of how warped California is in regards to self defense and gun ownership. She isn't a stupid girl, she just really has no idea that they have taken something away from her...

That's funny. As I'm reading his FB post, I'm thinking "what goes through her mind when Joe-Construction worker strolls in with his tool belt on sporting all those "weapons".

I don't know her so I can't say how or why she has formed her opinion on guns in the hands of law abiding citizens, but I run across gun haters occasionally out and at work. I work for the local government, and not allowed to carry at work (it's in my JK or on me at all times). My wife is a middle school teacher and obviously not allowed to even have a gun on campus, but we both grew up with guns as a part of life. Hunting, target practice, sighting-in, care and operation of firearms helps one understand their lawful uses and there capabilities.

We (lawful gun proponents) are never going to sway a gun hater's opinion. We are typically only one and the media is millions.
Does that make sense ??

makes perfect sense except for the we are typically one. More and more individuals who believe in the 2nd ammendment are coming together to stand up to the brain dead among us.

Here is a link to a USA Today article that talks about the change at Starbucks. Included is the letter from their CEO.

The article starts off saying they banned guns, but they didnt. The are neutral on the issue and follow local laws. They do not "welcome" guns.

It seems that they do not want to be involved in protesting or looking like they are pro gun. I'm not sure you can say we do not want guns but we will not enforce or put signs up.

Exactly right!

They are trying to walk a neutral line. They know a large percentage of their customer base are anti-gun. So they don't want to appear to be pro-gun. But at the same time, they are not anti-gun and don't want to appear to be.

They are not stomping on anyone's toes. As a business, both sides should respect that they don't want to take sides, and quit trying to force the issue with them.

I see it as Starbucks saying "We don't want to get caught up in your gun rights beef, so why don't you take it outside". Starbucks is not taking a stance in the debate as they will still observe state and local laws.
