In a JK? no, and I don't even want to know why you're wondering as it would be like taking the best cut of steak you've ever had and putting ketchup on it.

Why? That wouldn't even make sense. The best part about doing the V8 swap is being able to go to a 6 speed auto or even an 8 speed

2011 Jeep Rubicon JKU 6.0l VORTEC L96 - 6L80E 6 speed auto
40" Cooper SST Pros-17" Level 8's - 4.5" Synergy Suspension
WTO Hydro assist- Fusion D60's 4.88 gears
VKS Fab and XRC Bumpers/Armor-9500 Synthetic Winch 10lb CO2-Teraflex Big Brake Kit

... if your only working with 6 liters or so, the 6l80e is fine.

Some of us need much higher torque capacity.

Yeah I forget about all these 1k+ HP cars out running around on 6l80/90 and 8l series transmissions.

The days of th350 / 400 and the glide are done for anything except where a period correct transmission is required.

Without major detail what are you cooking up thinking about trying to stuff into a jk larger than the 6 liter range that will allow a trans like that?
