Democrats, it's always those fucking Democrats screwing around with someones valves.

Bad oil pump. That was all Dick Van Dyke.

Timing chain. Yep, God Himself fucked that one up. He's ok cleaning greasy parts, but that's about it.

Looks like it was an inside... valve job.

Waiting for written report from the machine shop that is going through the lower end. They say I didn't even get a .25 stroker crank like his website says i should have. I'm not worried about his warranty because if he would send a new customer a motor this poorly built he certainly wouldn't honor any issues.

Confirmed I did not get a stroker crank and also confirmed that the connecting rod bearings were undersized 0.010 causing additional oil pressure problems. Motor goes back in tomorrow and will see how well it runs being assembled correctly.

Thats pitiful. What I once thought was just off the charts pathetic workmanship is looking more like theft.

I agree.

Sounds like a "they'll never know the difference" deal.

Painful as it is, wondering how this saga turned out?

I am also wondering how this all turned out.

I really want to keep my JK a V6. I have 148K miles on my 2008 and am starting to consider engine options since the chassis has another 30 years left in it, and I have it all set up like I want.

I want to buy another new Wrangler, I bought the one I have new, and intend to keep it forever.

I emailed 505 with specific questions a year ago, never got a reply. Maybe they Google or Facebooked stalked me and decided I probably know the difference between real performance parts and work, or crap.

2008 JKU Rubicon
TerraFlex 4" coils
Fox 2.0's
Smitty SRC Bumper
Smitty XRC Winch
Hella Rally 4000's
Hella H4 Headlight conversion
K&N CAI
Diablo In Tune
Ripp Headers
American Racing Mojave 17x8
Cooper AT3 315/70/17

140K pretty much trouble free miles despite the constant abuse.

Wow. I have 170k on my 3.8 (2011). Looking at options, and want to get the 3.8 rebuilt. Like the idea of the 4.1 Stroker, but this shit scares me. I may just order there parts and have a local speed /engine shop build it. Any suggestions? I live in Sarasota, Florida, so i need a top notch shop in Tampa, Orlando and could even go as far as Jax... Thanks

You're looking for a top notch shop in FL but would consider buying parts from this crowd after reading the shit show that the OP went through? Could you possibly trust them to send the right shit?
BTW, you best get over to the ' The welcome room' and say 'hello' before the locals jump on your ass. Your first post should be there.

Sorry if i offended anyone. The parts are decent (i have researched them). It doesnt seem to be the parts but the mechinics doing the work. I will inspect them and thats why i need a top notch motor builder to make sure they are correct.
