Trailer brake controller location?

anybody have any suggestions or pics of where they put their brake contollers? and does anybody know if a prodigty contriller needs to be mounted flat or close to it?

I know it may seem odd but I put mine on top of the dash just left of the instrument cluster, I used double sided tape. I like it on top much easier to grab the override and make adjustments.

I have a Prodigy Brake Controller. I mounted it down by my right knee. Here are the photographs. I believe Prodigy recommends a 30 degree angle. Works good!


Works well in this location.


First I used 3M double sided adhesive and then I added the two bolts.

i migth move it up on the dash, i hardley ever tow so id just put it there when towing

I don't have a photo but I have mine just like Gear has his set up and it works great for me..

I have a prodigy and mounted it right under the steering wheel, it's out of the way and easy to get to, I will try to get you a picture tonight.

I want to install a Prodigy, but I'm reluctant to tacklle the wiring, any tips?

its easy, just need a 12v, the brake wire(forget what color it is but i can go look) and a ground, then run the wires back to the plug
