License Plate Light Wire Size

Does anybody happen to know what the gauge is of the license plate light wires?

It looks to me like 18 but I'd like to know for sure. Didn't see any markings on the wires themselves.

Awesome, thank you!

I'm relocating the plate and need to extend the wires to the tire carrier.

No need to do that. Tap into the tail light wire in the bundle that runs on the hinge side of the bed. You can run the wires inside the nylon cover that goes between the bed and the gate. That's what I did and have had no troubles. Make sure you get the running light wire and not the brake or reverse wire.

Ah, good point. That's what I'll do. Thanks again.
