Rock light wiring

K so if someone could chime in and let me know if this will work or not.

I've got a set of oro rock lights that I want to wire up. They are 6 individual pods. Two on each side and one front and one rear. My thought is to run a power and a ground wire from the rear pod to the front and just use wire taps to tap into the lines so i don't have to keep splicing and cutting. Will that work? Or is there an easier way? I figure this way I will only have one ground and one power wire to hook into my under hood box.

Does that make since??

Wire taps are the worst thing ever invented next to Aids! Stay away from them!
Take your time and wire them correctly. Cut the plastic off a butt connector, then butt connect your wires, then solder it and then heat shrink the whole thing. Bullet proof.

Could I run them all separately and have them all go into a water proof connector and have one wire come out of that?

What water proof connector are you going to run all those wires into? Even Duestch only has a Y connector that you would have to piggy back.

They are cheap! You can spend more in special water proof connectors than a cheap soldering tool.

Your correct. I'm just really not good at all with wiring but I guess there's no better time to learn than now.

Well it took a lot longer then I thought it would be I got it all soldered and heat shrunk. It got too dark and so I couldn't get the thing under the jeep but I will check tomorrow before I run all the wires and get it all pretty I just want to make sure it's all good. I know some of the solder connections aren't that pretty but I'm pretty sure they all will work!
