License Plate Relocation Light Wiring

I know i had to dig thru some forums to find this info. Figured it would be nice to have it consolidated.

This write up will wire a third break light and a white light for a license plate that will come one when you headlights are switched on:

The grey wire coming thru the tailgate is from my ORO litePlate. I opened the sheath and pulled the 3rd brake light wire out. On the ORO LitePlate that's the RED wire. I tapped into the white wire with a brownish black line on it. That controls the 3rd brake light.

The wire then is fed the rest of the way into the passenger tail light.

The passenger wiring is defined below:

Purple/white wire - tail lights. Tap into if you are relocating your license plate and need a power source for a light on your plate. On the ORO LitePlate that's the GREEN wire

Yellow/white - left turn signal and brake light. Not used.

All white - right turn signal and brake light. Not used.

Black - ground. Tap into this to ground the lights. On the ORO LitePlate that's the BLACK wire. This ground is only good for lighting. Don't ground a winch on it

Note that this is was wired on my 2011 Unlimited.

I have to go back and adjust mine because everything works like it is suppose to but I also have it tied into the right turn signal so when I put the right turn signal on the oro brake light blinks with the right turn signal! HAHA Now I have to figure out how to do that with the left as well!
