Jeep ran great at 81,000 miles, I decided it was time to swap spark plugs. I got some NGK Iridium plugs that where supposed to be pre-gapped. I decided to double check the gap. I got the gap from this forum, a gap of 0.050, all 6 new plugs where pre-gapped too small.
My feeler gauge does not have .050 feeler. I only have a .035 and a .015 that are next to each other, so I put them together to get a feeler of .050, problem solved. Here's my problem, my engine stumbles now. It feels like a cylinder is not igniting. There is no pattern. Sometimes it feels like its the driver bank of cylinders, sometimes the driver.
I just ran the jeep in the pitch dark looking to see if the wires are arcing with the block. Did not see any flashes of light, so I guess the wires are good. I think I will pull the plugs out tomorrow and close the gap a just a bit? I don't know what to do, please help!
