Help me with my winch

I went to test out my winch today to make sure everything is working properly and wont spool in. Ive had it hooked up with no issues for like two years. With the remote connected i hit the spool in button and it clicks like it wants to work but no movement. If i press the spool out button it works like it should. So what do ya think, im thinkin dead solenoid but dont know if it would still click like it wants to work.

If it works one way but not the other, it shouldn't be the motor. Since it's just getting the polarity to it changed for the direction. If it's clicking but not moving when you try to spool it in, then the control side of the circuit is working. It wouldn't be the first time the contacts in a solenoid have burned out, but it sounds like it should be within the solenoid..
