MyGig Lockpick Issues, please help!

Did a little searching and didn't find anything relevant.

I tried to install my V3 lockpick today with back up camera and I'm running into an issue.
I hooked everything up and the Mygig turned on, flashed the home screen and went to the radio in AM mode. It kept flashing on and off until it shut down, but the side buttons remained lit. The buttons would not turn off until I unplugged the harness. I tried again with a similar result. The third time the unit just flashed the "Uconnect and jeep" logo and back lit the buttons which then shut off. After that I can hit the "open" button to get a little reaction but nothing really doing.
The dip switches are set correctly. Is it me or do I have a defective unit?

Yep. Bad Lockpick or bad Lockpick harness. Assuming you've hooked it all up correctly that is.

I just installed mine last week with no problems, maybe you got a bad unit or harness, Shoot Coastaltech an email, I had a question for them regarding install and they got back to me quickly. Being the weekend, you may have to wait til monday. That sucks, sorry to hear its not working for you, I love mine so far..

The iPod stuff probably isn't it, but it would be worth disconnecting it and trying again.

Spent another hour today playing with it.
Started from scratch plugged it all in, turned the key to accessory and the unit comes on for about one minute and shuts off, not to be turned on again.
I pulled everything out for now and the Mygig is working fine without the lockpick. I'm going to call coalstal etech tomorrow.

Spoke with tech support today. They said this is a common issue and I should look if any of the pins in the connector was bent. Sure enough one was. Going to try again tonight. Hope this thread helps someone in the future.

Update, bent pin was the culprit. Everything is now working as it should.

I've been running the MyGig with a lock pick, back up camera, and hands free for at least 6 months. It just started acting just like your set up (can get a raction pushing the open button and side lights stay lit. I haven't touched it. So difficult to bend a pin. I'm going to open up and look for a loose connection.

Did you ever get yours running?

Thanks, -
