Question 2007 JK Electrical Issue

Is anyone familiar with an issue that shorts/shuts the radio off? If I put two windows up at the same time, or sometimes when I push on the gas pedal, my radio will shut off......also if I flash my headlights it will do it...not everytime..but it still does it...

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help....Ron...

This is a new one. Do you have a stock radio? It sounds like you have a ground issue to me but I'm just a handyman type.

I have a 07 and my radio will sometimes shut off if I roll both front windows up at the same time. Also mine seems very sensitive to the clutch/gas pedal timing, sorta if you come close to stalling it by letting off the clutch w/ no gas but the Jeep doesn't stall. My radio also once did not power on at all. even after pressing the power button. Went through all the buttons and finally came on after I pushed the disc eject button.

Go Play Outside.

Thanks for the responses...Yes it is the factory radio...I've talked to the dealer, and they said they've never heard of it...hopefully its just something simple/stupid...

Did you try reading the DTC codes with something just to see what it says? I have had too many radio problems, but they all ended up being related to equipment from Alpine and after market XM radio tuners. Went to Pioneer, and it all went away.
