H.I.D. Flicker

Just got a HID conversion kit for my 07 jeep wrangler unlimited sahara. Hooked up all grounds, power is good, but the lights flicker then just shut off. Even when im in park and rev it up a little the lights flash like crazy! Ive been reading something about installing a capacitor to help the flicker. Anyone have experience with HID's? And where do wire in the capacitor?? Thanks

Yes there is a thread on here with capacitor and diode information. (search?) I had it on mine but don't recall the exact setup. It's due to the factory wiring supplying the headlights with a pulse width modulated signal to keep the output constant....ballasts don't like that!

here we go again - yes, your problem is the JK uses pulse width modulated power to the headlights, controlled by the canbus

if you goto the library section Gold Knight has put together a great index of the write ups
