3rd brake light wiring question.

Ok so I’m planning on getting rid of my factory 3rd brake light and replace it with Xprite (or similar) circular spare tire ones.
Now when I watch video on YouTube they all say you have to cut the factory wire & tap em. I’m not a fan of cutting wires so I really prefer to go plug & play.
There are some companies selling round 3rd brake lights with plug and play sockets but they are much more expensive for no other reason.
So my conclusion is to extend the factory harness.

So here’s the question. Does the side marker light harness the same as 3rd brake light harness? Quadratec sells side marker harness for like $11 but the 3rd brake light harness is like $40. If it’s the same I’d prefer to just buy the side marker harness and just use one end to connect em to the round 3rd brake light wire.

Let me know if you guys have any idea.

Take you less that 5 mins to pull the L brake light out and find out for yourself if its the same plug.
