inverter wired remote

I have a Motomaster 3000 watt inverter in my Jeep. I bought a wired remote from invertersrus. It's just a simple one button toggle with a red led. When I turn the inverter on, the switch light is off. When I turn the inverter off, the light on the remote is on. What would cause this and is there a way to fix it?

I assume you want the light on when the inverter is on, correct?

Which exact switch did you purchase? Is there any way to disassemble the switch to see how it is wired internally?

I am assuming the design but for single diode LED, one button remote items I have experienced, having either the LED upside down OR the battery's backwards can yield results such as OP mentions.

Check you do not have batteries backward polarity or that the diode isn't backwards.

edit: just caught my stupidity; it is wired, so check pin-out and the diode being reversed polarity. srry....
