MeatalCloak side marker lights.

The disclaimer here is, if I had read the instructions....

So, I recently changed out my fenders to MC Hardlines. I purchased the side markers that they offer and installed them while doing the fenders.

Got the job all wrapped up (literally) I wrapped up all the wiring and zip tied everything out of the way.
I started the Jeep to see how the markers looked and got nothing.
WTF? I just knew I did everything correctly, Hell what could I have done wrong?
Itís a simple thing, clip the wires and connect white to white and black to black. Simple as can be right?

This is more laughing at myself than anything but it may save someone some trouble, if youíre like me and donít read instructions when YOU THINK you know what your doing.

After checking every fuse I could find, the marker fuse being first, I was at a loss, no marker lights.
Just before I called MC to complain that they sent me bad lights, I decided to cut zip ties and unwrap wires.
I reconnected the wires black to white, and white to black.
BINGO bright amber LED marker lights.
Luckily for me nobody was around to see my failure.
Ha.
If only I had read the instructions.

Cheers.

Edit:
Who the Hell connects white to black and vise versa?
Rhetorically of course.

I always double-check LEDs with 12V power or even a 9V battery.
Then, I full-on OCD check it a couple more times via the vehicle's wiring.

Any time I forget to check or assume, I get to re-do it

EDIT: I think the "black positive" is following the 110V "black hot" wiring convention

Either way, I usually just double-triple-double check it anyway

EDIT2: I'd bet the Wrangler wiring is black = negative (ground), and the LEDs may be black positive - I've seen it before, and that's what I was referring to in my first edit. If LEDs have a black and a red, it's "normal" but if they have black + white, I've seen 'em "backwards" often if not always.

Yep.
2017 JKUR
when you clip the connector off of the stock markers, thereís a black wire and a white w/green stripe (Iím guessing now) that the green stripe is for (ground).
Anyway, the side marker MC ships have a white wire and a black one.
