To the left of the steering wheel. Its accessible when you remove the side panel and can fit quite a few switches. I'll put up a picture tomorrow.

You can easily mount one on the other side too......if you run out of room on the left side of the steering wheel. This one is for my rock-lights.

I did mine on the side under the speaker. I wanted it somewhere you couldn't really see it. I should have gone a little higher, there wasn't alot of room behind it. 1/2" higher it would have been fine.

Here are the pictures I promised. Still working on it. First picture is the left side of the steering wheel which will get 4 round lighted (blue) toggle switches and a smaller red momentary button. The switch that is already installed closest to the steering wheel controls blue led accent lights inside the truck as well as blue led strips in the wheel wells and the front grill. The next switch over will control rock lights, the next is rear fogs, and all the way to the left is front fogs. The little hole is for the secondary loud ass horn on a momentary switch. The second picture is the right side of the steering wheel and shows where I mounted my warn wireless remote.

Hey, that is a very sweet mod and I like the idea of having them hidden.
Can I see the wiring involved in this mod?
Does it still allow usage of the center console lockbox?

Sorry it took so long, but here's a pic of the inside of the center console. Since the outer shell of the console is so close to the "box," the wires have to protrude inside. I basically laid the switch panel against the outer shell and started cutting away. Once it fit the shell, then I assembled it all back together and found out where the panel would hit the "box" and cut that part away. There's enough room for expansion with more switches later on (they do sell smaller switch panels though like 2 or 3 switch panels), and the wires are all routed under the console, and out through the firewall on the passenger side.

I made the fuse / relay box out of a "project box" half, but only wired it up for 3 switches at the moment (ran out of room in the box). I used standard automotive relays from an electrical supply store and a 6-position fuse block from VatoZone. The main positive and negative leads are 8 AWG.

All in all, I saved maybe $100 vs. buying an sPod, but I really wish I would have just dropped the money on the sPod to begin with. It's done right, but my wires are a mess and it was a PITA to locate all the pieces and put it all together. I like where the switches are, but I may end up ripping out all the wiring at a later date and at least installing the "Source" from sPod.
