Reverse lights come on when braking?

I have a 2008 Wrangler and lately when I apply the brakes the left reverse light comes on, dimming the brake light. It also keeps blowing my left blinker fuse so it clicks rapidly. I read it is likely a ground wire issue. I've searched YouTube and some diagrams but I can't seem to locate the "ground wire". Another post said the screws holding the tail light casing to the vehicle is what grounds the lights. Maybe one of you guys have run into this? Thanks

I wanted to add the screws in the casing are a little rusty but overall they are holding it pretty tight so a loose connection there is likely not the issue.

Kind of tough to diagnose just based on your description. Sounds like you definitely have a short somewhere. Me personally, just based on what you've said so far, I would troubleshoot starting at the housing. Remove and partially disassemble the housing. Remove the bulbs and inspect for corrosion. Check the wiring plug both on the harness still attached to the Jeep, and the where it plugs in at the back of the housing. Maybe upload some pics if you think anything looks out of the ordinary. Check for broken/cut wires, corrosion, poorly seated bulbs, etc.

I had an older vehicle that was giving me all sorts of trouble and doing weird things. In the end, it was just a stupid bulb that hadn't been seated properly. Much older vehicle though. Not sure if it could be something as simple as that in your case.

Did you get into the housing recently for any reason, or mess with your lights at all back there recently? Trying to figure out if anything you did or modded recently could possibly be the cause. Did this start shortly after doing any mods or performing any kind of service on the vehicle, especially anything that has anything to do with electrical?
