CB wire extensions?

I'm going to be moving my CB radio from under the glovebox to the driver side lower console. Like this:

But the wire that came with the radio won't reach that area. What type/kind of wire do I need to get to make this reach.
Basically what I'm asking is what do I need to buy to make the power wire reach this area from the battery?
Specifics would be appreciated.

I did a similar set up years ago. Radio shack had a small spool of cable that had red and black wires mated together. Looks just like original wires. I also got some heat shrink to seal the connections. Slip a 2 inch piece of heat shrink on to the wire. Splice wire extension on. Solder to ensure good conductivity. Slide the heat shrink over the joint and heat to seal. Hope this helps.

Second option if solder isn't available?

Plain ol' butt connectors. Heat shrink over that would be a good addition, to.

That's probably what I'll be doing. And I'll probably be going to the local Advance Auto or any other local store that could help me with this. Anyone have any other store suggestions that would be able to help and provide the things I need.

RadioShack carries a 10ft cb cable, and will make it from the shifter all the way back into rear door. I have mine in same location, on a 4dr, and I have it snaked up to the top of the third brake light. Still has some slack. About $7 max.
