Power Window going bad?

My passenger side window as been going up pretty slow and then this morning would not go up unless I used my hand to pull it up.
Do you all think it's just the electric motor? If so does any body know the part # so I can order it. I don't think it should be that hard to take the door panel off and just replace it.

Thanks for your thoughts

could be the motor or regulator.

Two door or four door? I can get you the part numbers, but its just as easy to call the dealership and order it. Just make sure if its the motor or regulator first.

are ya nuts? calling the dealer and ordering will equal list price or more unless you have some really cool dealer by you.

Airpark Jeep is sponsor here now for parts, I believe about 30% off list price.

did the window go at normal speed once you pulled up on it? I had my window switches go bad, first one wouldnt go down then another started acting up. I plugged the drivers door into the passenger harness to get the window down, that is how I confirmed it was the switch.

It is a four door. I will figure out how to test the
Switch - didn't think about the fact that it could be the problem.
Regulator ??? not sure how to test.
Motor

To find out which part is my problem.

Thanks for the replies.

No after I pulled it up it did not go up at normal speed.

It is going up and down now but at a much slower speed than the other windows.

easier to test the motor. Just get to it and hook up 12v power.. ground to one terminal and positive to the other terminal AT THE MOTOR, with the connector unpluged so you don't send any voltage back into the wiring of the Jeep.

If the motor works, then test the harness side of the connector with any volt meter... hit the switch both ways and look for 12 volts +/- then you will know if the switch is sending power to the motor.

And doubt there is an aftermarket part available yet for the JK, but I call the dealer since my shop has an account with all of them. (so wholesale pricing).. def call the sponsor dealer on this site though.

Mine did the same thing and it was just the motor and it is a really easy install but I think the motor was about $110.
