Is it safe to unplug the subwoofer?

This may seem like the dumbest question ever, but is it safe to unplug a subwoofer than comes with 2010 Rubicon? I know nothing would happen to an old amp with two push-pull transistors, but with the modern electronics one cannot be sure...

There was no way to refuse the subwoofer when I bought the Rubicon and I want the bit of extra cargo space that the silly box takes up.

You can unplug it without issue.

You gonna sell the sub?

I might be interested in it for Smurfette.

Selling it may be a good idea, thanks. I'm going to take care not to scratch it when removing. I'll take a picture, so you know what color it is.
