Exclamation Jeep Patriot Won't Start but makes a clicking noise.

So, earlier today when i went to start my 2013 jeep patriot It wouldn't start what so ever all the lights flashed even the car radio was able to be turned on and the mysterious clicking noise was in place of what would of been the engine starting?. A new transmission was installed earlier this year. I don't understand cars all that well so all the help you can give me is much appreciated.

From your description, sounds to me like the starter is bad. You can remove the starter and take it to an Advance Auto, O'Reilly, or Vato Zone for them to test it. Maybe NAPA too, but I'm not sure about that.
Mark.

I guess neither of you have owned many cars. Whenever any vehicle just clicks instead of starts, it's more than likely a dead battery. Just do what the guy above me recommended.

No one is paying attention as this is a JK section. Poster should post in the appropriate section in the first place.
