Help with Headlight bulb replacement

2017 Willys Unlimited...

Just picked up my JK today and.... THE HEADLIGHTS SUCK.

I am not to fond of the idea of replacing the headlights right now with high end LED's so I want to try some Silverstar's first. A couple of questions...

1. To change bulbs only, I assume the entire grill come off? The videos I have watched remove the entire grill? It looks like a person could remove the horn to get the the driver side bulb and the air box to get to the passenger side headlight bulb. Is this feasible or not?

2. If its the grill that comes off, do I just take off the trim ring to get the assembly out to get to bulb?

3. Is it H13 bulbs?

Thanks

I would imagine removing the grill is a lot easier then removing the horn AND airbox. The grill just has six pop rivets on top and push clips on the bottom. Then each headlight has the 4 Torx screws.

Dosent the 17s have the new headlights? I thought they where better than the old style.
And yes it is way easier to just pop the grill .

I'm running an upgraded headlight harness and e-code H4 housings with halogen bulbs.

That's not "many" options, but it's a really good one (not techy-sexy, just killer light with decent reliability).

PN's and pics ?

I did a headlight upgrade on my 68 Camaro with relays and Sylvania Silver Stars... it was a night and day difference, but this Wrangler has H4 ? bulbs...so I'm not sure how to go yet.

The grill and headlights are easy to remove. But Im pretty sure you can fit the right torx driver in there to remove the headlight without taking the grill out. Mine are LED when i bought them so I don't know what the stock procedure is but to change mine only takes 10 minutes to take off the grill and take out the headlight.
