Kc housing

So I bought the kc h4 housing with the Hella 80/100 bulbs .
I'm not impressed, I have this weird spot like patter in front and nothing on the sides. I bought a cheep harness kit but the relays chatter so when I get some time I'll take a look at it .
I just didn't want to spend 3 to4 hundred dollars on a set of decent headlights .
Anyone have some experience with them and what about a led bulb in them ? I know not to put them in the stock housings but what about the kc ? The optics are definitely different.
As always thanks in advance!

I am running H4 in my Delta Quad Bar housings. light output is better than stock but still nothing like LED.

Id love to get some LED replacement bulbs and install.

Didn't mean to come off as a dick lol. I've been through that process and it sucked... the market on leds is totally different than it was back when people were doing h4 swaps..

I was just wondering if I should have done this versus the KC Gravity Headlamps I just put in, and saved a little. I feel better now. That whole buy once, cry once someone told me has paid off.. in a way.

Looks great, I pulled the kc housing just didn't like the pattern. I got a killer deal on a set of truck lights.

Was it the old KC/Peterson light or the new Gravity?

I just thought you had some cool pattern cubes mounted at the base of your A pillars.

I'm an HID fan due to the consistent lighting throughout the front of the vehicle. With everything I've viewed online (I know, not the same as in person), I'm not a fan of the hot and cold spots of LED headlights.

I contacted The Retrofit Source and received this reply. Definitely something to look forward to:

Thanks for your email! At the moment the only option we have is indeed the JW Speaker headlights, however Morimoto will be coming out with a full LED headlight like the JW speaker within the next month. Also they will be releasing a similar Sealed 7 around summer time that will use a LED projector, unfortunately the S7 HID has been discontinued.

bring this up after realizing (as @tapacola
did back during his OP)
last night that MY Delta housings with hella or osram 80/100w conversion seems weak and antiquated.
Maybe you could share some sources for better lighting to help me cheaply get out of the Stone Age with my old H4 conversion .

Got any good sggts if someone can't get a sweet deal on some trucklights ? thanks

edit: this vendor has a good starting point, I just searched to find...

I ended up snagging a pair of Truck Lights for 75 bucks 😎.
The new Sealed 7s are going to be like the JW Speakers, Im seriously thinking about Building my own set of Projectors.
I just haven't seen a cheep way on a good lighting set up .

NOT ALL H4 HOUSINGS BLOW GOATS . . .

Missed this thread the first time around, caught it on the "dust-off run" just now.

I bought KC H4 housings when I first did the conversion - they sucked, as Tapcola can attest.
Switched to Hella H4 housings, and have been totally happy with the pattern, cutoff, etc. - no complaints.
I will probably switch to LED headlights eventually, but I've got great headlights in the meantime.

EDIT: my first H4 housing set might have been IPF, not KC - either way, they sucked. Can vouch for the Hella housings, though

PLEASE BUY AMERICAN SO I DON'T HAVE TO LEARN CHINESE
