Horn won't beep

Tried to use the horn today and it won't work. Horn sounds when I hit the key fob lock button so the horn itself is ok, but when I hit the steering wheel ... she no work.

I swapped out the fuses and checked the physical connections. They look good. I don't want to spend half a day at the dealer if I don't have to. Don't want to rip the steering wheel apart unless it's an easy fix. (airbag and all).

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Duffy

Sounds like the clock spring.

It's in the steering wheel. Could probably be a warranty fix. I had mine done under warranty once.

No ESP, no other idiot lights either. I have no idea how long it hasn't worked. Don't use the horn very often. I can yell louder. I just happened to hit it as I was passing a buddy.

If it is the clock spring I'm under warranty, just the hour drive and however long it takes at the dealer I was trying to avoid. They have been good to me, but stuff takes time. Time is in short supply these days.

Oh well... suck it up buttercup.

Thanks guys.
