68 diode rear LEDs

All,

Searching through all the posts on rear LEDs I have not found it mentioned, but when i put 68 diode 4" LEDs on my YJ I did not have to add resistors or change the flasher out.

I have some PSC corners coming to install, and was going to install the same LEDs (damn they doubled in price though) on the JK, will let you know the findings.... they are Grote 68 diode LEDs, all red, only wiring in brakes and signals, will install a seperate back up light system.....

....here's hoping it will work, I hate playing with those smokin hot resistors!!

You'll most likely need the resistors to stop the fast blinking issue.

2014 JKU, Tera44, 4.56 gears, ARB lockers, RK 3.5" flex lift, ARB front & rear bumper, dual Viair 400C w/2 gallon tank, Zeon 10S, Nitto Tires, Genesis Dual battery kit, TeraFlex tie rod & flipped drag link, ARB Intensities and TeraFlex dual rate ST sway bar.

Yep, lighting system on a JK is pretty much nothing like your YJ. A module controls the blinkers, not a flasher. The turn signal switch is just an input to the module in what you want to do.

....would the 68 diodes not provide, some, if not ample resistance to the fast blink??

I guess I should have not slept through electronics classes all those years ago!!!

LED's offer very little resistance.
