Its ported... with a ton of air space, I am sure there is plenty of noise coming out of that thing with the top on or off. Just hope he doesn't pull up next to me at a stop light..... damn kids. (Yes, I was that kid back in the day ) the lack of any base really sucks ass IMO.... I just don't want to give up any room.

I'm not impressed, but I used to install 4 18's in yj's running a power 1000 to each of them, and systems of the same size and larger every week, and yeah I'm hard of hearing. The early 90's showed just how over the top you could go. I even did 69 6 x 9's in the back of a "broham" lol just cause the guys buddy said it couldn't be done. Truth be told it was one of the better sounding systems I had done, think about it all the mids, lows and highs in one speaker. Those old school pioneers were worth every penny!

I do think it is a little over the top. 4 12" is a lot.
Three would be plenty

I have 3 10W6 JL subs in a sealed box at the moment but I'm hoping to upgrade to 3 12s or maybe just two 13" an port it.

also not sure if I want to stay with W6 subs or upgrade to W7 subs

ONE sub (JL of course) and a correctly built enclosure is all that is needed

my side mirrors are useless when I crank the volume

and I have all the room neccessary for gear

scene: Agaudo smashes cockroach to provoke ventura
Agaudo: Homicide!, ventura how you gonna solve that one?
Ventura: Good question Agaudo, first I'd establish a motive..in this case the killer saw the size of the bugs dick and became insanely jealous!
