CB Antenna wire

So guys, running an antenna wire from the spare tire to above the rearview mirror, follow the factory wiring under the floor mat OR through the roll cage?

your thoughts?

Mine runs in that same spot. Go through the roll cage padding, seemed a lot easier for me.

I just ran mine down the passenger a-pillar and then along the rocker panels to the passenger rear corner.

I did not run it through the tail gate, just over it since I had the soft top on and it was easy. Now that I put the hard top back on the other day, I disconnected it and flung it inside the jeep for now. I need to rethink the routing again. It was just long enough for my JKU before so now I wonder if it is just a tad too short to run it through the tailgate. Not sure when I'll go monkey with it next, though.

An 18' cable will run short if you go thru the carpet and into the tailgate.
18' is perfect from tailgate thru roll bar then onto mirror. Take tops off to make it easier.

Yes. I verified this as well. I have an Unlimited and it is just barely too short. The 18' cable might be perfect for a 2 door, though.

this is what I did. down the a pillar, along the passenger side rocker, up the tub along the passenger side where the pre existing wiring harness is and into the rear tailgate. 18' works good for my 2 door.
