Installed a DEI (Python R460) Alarm

The only function I wanted was for the alarm to go off if any of the doors were opened. I don't have electric locks or windows because I have half doors. I plan to leave the doors unlocked all the time so that a thief doesn't cut the windows.

It was a really easy install once I figured out where to connect everything. I didn't install the blue LED light because I don't want would be thieves to think there is an alarm.

I'm going to add a Proimity Sensor to the inside which is Plug N Play. That way if the top is down and someone reaches their hand inside, the alarm will sound. I plan to get a Tuffy Security Deck soon so that shouldn't be a big issue.

Basically there were 7 wires to hook up.

Alarm - Jeep
White - White/Purple (passenger kick panel) (this is so the marker lights flash when you turn on/off the alarm)
Purple - Yellow/White (passenger kick panel)
Red - Power Outlet (constant power)
Yellow - Cigarette Lighter (switched power)
Black - Ground (I used the ground from the cigarette lighter)
Brown - Siren +
Blue - Hood Pin (I ran the wire underneath the hood but haven't bought a hood pin yet. Not really worried about this since I have a hood lock.

I mounted the brain box behind the removable panel under the steering wheel. I used double sided tape and stuck it to what I think is the ECM.

Did you tap into the wires or splice/solder?
