aftermarket head unit

ok so i ran a search and didnt find exactly what i needed to know...

ive got an alpine head unit i want to put in the jeep. i went to best buy to pick up a wiring harness and because of our lovely CANbus system, the wiring harness was $150. i told them id take two, one to shit on the other to cover it up with.

seriously tho, i know thats not the cheapest i can find, but i did a quick internet search and wasnt sure exactly what it is that i need. im pretty sure i can install it myself (unless CANbus has some unexpected surprises) as long as i just get the right parts. i do plan on wiring in an amp and a couple subs in the near future.

so for those of u who have aftermarket head units, whered you get your install stuff (wiring harness, plastic stereo surround thing/dash kit, etc)? Thanks!

Crutchfield

scene: Agaudo smashes cockroach to provoke ventura
Agaudo: Homicide!, ventura how you gonna solve that one?
Ventura: Good question Agaudo, first I'd establish a motive..in this case the killer saw the size of the bugs dick and became insanely jealous!
