Is this really an issue? I've dunked a TON of electric fans without killing one. With an electric fan the water slows it down so that it does not contact the radiator. Unlike an engine driven fan, which without a clutch will deform under the restriction of the water and absolutely eat a radiator. I found that out the hard way many years ago.
I've been in the habit of swapping out engine driven fans for electrics just for this reason. I've dunked a bunch of them. Is the JK fan not sealed or something?
